Protesting At.

Hasn't it struck you as a little pointless the way people waste so much breath protesting at things?

Recently there's been a poem circulating by email about a poor little child that gets beaten and threatened by his father and eventually killed. At the bottom is "please copy and paste this into your website to let people know child abuse is wrong".

Well hit me in the face with a mullet if child abusers think themselves qualified for the "altruist of the year" awards! "Hm, I beat my kid again to briefly sate my burning self-inadequecy, better send extra money to charity this month to make up for it". They do it and they know it's wrong, but they don't care. Really.... what's the point?

Look at "pro-life" protesters. The loudest primates ever to hold a big paper sign.

A typical banner would be "Abortion Kills Babies!!".

Little miss worried-pregnant-teenager might see that. What's going to happen?

1. She is shocked

2. She is ashamed and even more insecure and worried

3. She is angry at the protesters

4. Not much.

Can you see how useless that is?

In conversation you can't talk at, you have to talk to. Same goes for screaming your lungs out. Same thing. See?
