The Gernika Banana Palm.





I came across a banana palm while walking by the seaside today.

I was surprised - I didn't think banana palms grew this far north! Wouldn't the frost get to them?

Anyway, I thought that was cool, so I took a picture. What happens when they're ripe? I guess you can just sneak up and steal one. It doesn't look like the tree belongs to anyone in particular. ;)





Oh yes, on another note: after all the emails I've been getting, I have to tell you, yes, there IS a hoax article somewhere on my blog. Can you tell where it is?
