About "Roma Nova" is the story of the largest city ever to exist and a few of those who struggle to live with or fight against its choking regime. This site is updated every weekday in small sections. Occasional delays / procrastination / forgetfulness / employment may, however, be expected. My name is Andrew Gubb; I'm british, though currently I live in Spain; I was born in 1990 and my current occupation is as a student. In my free time I like to waste it. Roma Nova is published under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 license. (Specifically this means that you may redistribute the story so long as you attribute it to me and include my email and this web address.) It'd be pointless to remind you all the time of this as plajurism is illegal whether or not you see a funny little symbol in the corner saying so. Basically, don't be a twat. I find it odd that we need to resort to empty legal threats to say this. Just don't be a twat. This site is free and will always remain so. Though I intend to become a published author in future, I believe that this is as good a way as any to gain exposure, and whether or not I make money directly from this site it will be profitable in some way. In the end, I'm doing it for fun. (I just hope I'll somehow manage to avoid getting a real job in future). Why old-school html? Because it's more fun. Also, I tried to install Wordpress and it just pissed me off with all its random errors that I couldn't make sense of. Funnily enough, in the short term writing this page in html was actually easier, seeing as I had some experience. The Old Site, by the way, was my first attempt at learning html, and I keep it so as to look after some of my old poems and stuff. It's just a curiosity really.
